Bitget Enhances Security with Sumsub's AI-Powered Deepfake Detection

The cryptocurrency industry is facing a growing threat from deepfakes, with AI-generated fake identities proliferating at an alarming rate.

To address this, Bitget, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, has partnered with Sumsub, a leading provider of Know Your Customer (KYC) verification services, to bolster its security measures and protect its users.

Bitget announced that this collaboration aims to safeguard its 25 million global users by detecting and preventing deepfake scams with over 99% accuracy. Sumsub will offer Bitget comprehensive identity verification services, including facial biometrics, non-document verification, and database validation.

Amid a significant 217% increase in deepfakes detected within the crypto sector from Q1 2023 to Q1 2024, and a 245% rise across all industries, Sumsub’s AI-driven deepfake detection and fraud prevention technology will play a crucial role in helping both companies maintain stringent security standards.
