Crypto Markets Add $70 Billion in a Day as Bitcoin (BTC) Climbs to 16-day High – Weekend Watch

Bitcoin held its rally and went above $60, 000 of trading value and reached $60, 514, its 16-day high. BTC has also risen along with several other altcoins helping the crypto market cap to increase by more than $70 billion in 24 hours.

BTC Surges Past $60K

Bitcoin price slightly pulled down to $52,500 last Friday, and then it started to surge higher over the weekend and on Monday it was up by about $4,000 in the next one day. However, mid-week action brought some fluctuation regarding BTC, but this happened after the release of US CPI data.

Bulls took the cryptocurrency to $59090 on Friday and at one point today, it touched $60500, which is a 16-day high. This increase comes after sudden changes in the US spot Bitcoin ETFs which recorded more than $400 million outflows in the previous week. Further, MicroStrategy broke the news again of having bought even more BTCs, this time over $1. 1 billion.

Nevertheless, there has been some decline and Bitcoin remains up by 4% for the day having a market capitalisation of $1. 1,85 trillion and 54% of dominance in relation to altcoins.

Almost all altcoins followed the trend of Bitcoin. ETH and BNB Increased by Approximately 2%, Ethereum (ETH) being traded at slightly above $2,400 while BNB is being traded at around $550.
It was also a good day for coins such as DOGE, TON, AVAX, LINK, PEPE, TAO and IMX, with 4%, 4%, 3%, 5%, 6%, 10% & 5% added to their value respectively. This was not the case with TRX which one of the few altcoins that had a slight bearish reversal of 2%.

Due to these figures, the total capitalization of cryptos has risen by $70 billion since yesterday and is now equal to $2. 2 trillion.
