Mainly to unveil that Somnia blockchain DevNet phase is for high-performance transaction Investors puffed look improbable
Newcastle, United Kingdom-based metaverse tech startup Improbable, which has partnered with Yuga Labs to work on Otherside, announced it would begin releasing Somnia blockchain’s DevNet phase. Evmos is one of the critical elements of a more scalable next generation of metaverses for high-performance, capacity for over 400 000 TPS at subsecond fees.
No one yet has managed to build a high-performance blockchain that prioritizes real applications over short-term token gains," Herman Narula, co-founder and CEO of Improbable said. Somnia is the product of two years of dedicated research into on-chain scalability for metaverse experiences. The effort is part of M2, Improbable's network of interoperable metaverses, with investments from names like a16z and SoftBank.
Narula emphasized that the volumes in other blockchains are still relatively small, and that discourages actual usage in the real world for large applications. Somnia is addressing that issue using parallel execution and optimized resource usage to give the EVM real-time capabilities for the carrying out complex high-speed processing, a must for metaverse scale. That fits Improbable's vision with a strong, layer one blockchain that can support real consumer-level metaverses.
