Trump Memecoin Team Denies $300K Dinner Requirement Rumors

The Official Trump (TRUMP) memecoin team has denied publicly rumors on social media that token holders need to have at least $300,000 in TRUMP to be eligible for a special dinner with Donald Trump.

In a posting on April 25 through the project's official X account, the Trump memecoin team confirmed that there is no such price threshold to attend the dinner event. The clarification was a response to speculation promoted through data looked at on Solana blockchain explorers.

Per the project, witnesses wrongly interpreted wallet figures, supposing the 220th-biggest wallet-contained-in-excess-of-33,000 TRUMP tokens amounting to in excess of $ 400,000 was the line of demarcation. Yet the team asserted these rankings tally in locked tokens, exchange wallets, and idle members, making them poor estimations of qualifying levels.

"Folks have been consistently misquoting #220 on the block explorer as the cut-off. That's wrong because it counts things like locked tokens, exchanges, market makers, and non-participants. Instead, you should only be going off the leaderboard," the team highlighted.

Dinner Event Criteria Based on Leaderboard Metrics

On April 23, the Trump Coin group posted its leaderboard, showing wallet addresses that are currently in the running to dine with the former U.S. president.

The dinner will accommodate the top 220 people, but no guest list has been finalized. Potential guests have to pass a background check, including complete KYC (Know Your Customer) and compliance screening of their wallets.

Notably, eligibility does not simply depend on the quantity of tokens owned. The Trump memecoin team is employing a time-weighted holdings scheme to set the rankings. This scheme takes into account not just the number of TRUMP-owned owned, but also how long the wallets have been holding those tokens.

"The longer you hold, the higher your weighted score becomes," the official website explains.

Currently, the leaderboard leader has more than 1.1 million TRUMP tokens worth $14.6 million with a time-weighted score of more than 686,000. By comparison, the 220th-placed wallet contains a mere 1,125 TRUMP tokens (valued at around $15,000) with a score of 136.

Surprisingly, a few addresses with a zero present TRUMP balance remain qualified, presumably because they maintained a favorable holding history before selling or transferring their holdings.

No Set Dollar Threshold — All Strategic Holding

The Trump memecoin project staff's clarification highlights that no set dollar threshold promises admission to the VIP dinner. Rather, it's all a matter of strategic holding behavior, adherence, and leaderboard position.

As the occasion approaches, the project encourages attendees to monitor their status through the official leaderboard and not third-party block explorers or social media hearsay.
