Watford Football Club Offers Digital Equity Sale to Investors and Fans

Watford Football Club (Watford FC) is pioneering a new era of fan engagement and club ownership by selling approximately 10% of its equity to investors, including fans, through digital equity platform Republic and its European platform, Seedrs.

Groundbreaking Digital Equity Offering:

This innovative sale marks the first time a major English football club has offered true ownership shares to a wide range of investors through digital equity. Investors will have the option to purchase tokens and gain access to exclusive offers, with plans for future trading of the tokens.

Investment Details:

The club is valued at £175 million and aims to raise over £17.5 million in funding. Shares are priced at £12.44 each, with a minimum investment of four shares on Seedrs and eight shares on Republic.

Funds Allocation:

The proceeds from the sale will primarily support initiatives to enhance the club's performance, including recruitment, training, and coaching for the men's first team. Additionally, funds will be used for brand development.
