Unstoppable Domains Makes It Easy for Farmers to Accept Crypto with New Web3 Domain

Unstoppable Domains has tied with farmer-centric blockchain Farmens to help farmers to make crypto payments and employ Crypto Identity. This operation will launch the new “. farms” domain, which it will use extensively in its planned structure, which will be based on the blockchain environment. The use of the platform is that farmers deal directly with the buyers that include consumer-oriented firms but not middlemen.

Enabling the Peasants to Posession Digital Lives

The new Web3 domain provides producers of food with an opportunity to own identifiers for dealing with buyers around the world. With this identity, farmers can transact in crypto utilising over 275 supported tokens on the platform.

Forumsent’s CEO Yog Shrusti says this move will help put the small farmers at a place where they enjoy capital and help grab the farms that they wish to access. Shrusti adds that while early forms of cryptocurrency wallets can indeed be employed to accept payments, they are problematical to farmers. The “. farms” domain eases the processes, therefore assisting farmers in participating in the digital economy.

Farmsent’s Innovative NFT-Driven Approach

In demand generation, farmsent employs the use of NFTs in order to ensure that the bids made by clients in relation to farm products are genuine during an auction. As described in the white paper of the project, such use of NFT makes the bidding safer and builds up the trust between buyers and sellers.

At the moment, the platform targets farmers from Colombia and Indonesia and it has registered more than 160K farmers.
As of now in the beta test, Farmsent mediates in buying and selling of products such as coffee, avocado, and palm sugar between UAE and Indonesia.

According to Farmsent, Unstoppable Domains Chief Operating Officer Sandy Carter said that the company embodies the ‘transformational ability’ of blockchain solutions. Carter further said, “It is our pleasure to support Farmsent with official web address on chain so that they will be able to offer the unique ID to the users and compete on equal footing with the multinationals giants.

UAE’s Stance on Crypto Mining on Farms

In May, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority issued an advisory prohibiting farmers from using their farms to mine crypto. The government agency noted that this constitutes a “misuse of the farm”, with violators facing penalties of up to 10,000 UAE dirhams (approximately $2,700).
